NARS is a brand that is known for its great base products. And one of the best foundations from the brand is the All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation. NARS is a brand that is on the more luxury side of high end makeup and this foundation comes with a $48 price tag which is not anywhere affordable but the price that you pay for this baby is definitely worth the splurge. You get the typical 1 oz from the bottle. But to know what stands out to me from this foundation, please read further.
The brand says : An oil-free foundation that delivers full, natural-looking coverage with one drop, for lightweight, 16-hour wear. Achieve full-coverage, lightweight foundation that leaves a natural finish. Highly pigmented and perfectly balanced, this breakthrough, full-coverage formula builds and blends effortlessly. Its Even Tone Technology instantly neutralizes redness and dullness, while it works to reduce discoloration for more even, uniform skin. Perfect for all skin types, it features Weightless Long-wear Technology, an exclusive blend from NARS with flexible polymers and treated pigments that move with the skin while providing 16 hours of staying power.
I think I have finally spotted my holy grail formula. As the brand says this foundation delivers a full coverage with just a single pump. And the feeling is super lightweight on the skin. The foundation feels super runny when you pump it out , which might fool you and might give an impression that it would be sheer but trust me guys it just goes on with full coverage. Since I have a bit of blemishes on my skin I need about one and a half pump to cover my entire face. The finish is absolutely natural, and on me stays put for a very long time, which surprised me because such a thin formula I dint expect to stay on for long.
There is a very good colour selection with 20 shades with different undertones, and I am sure every skin tone should be able to find a match. I personally think , I went wrong in selecting my shade. I purchased Tahoe which is way too yellow on me. Not to an extent that I cannot wear it but I prefer something less yellow on me so I am planning to purchase Cadiz which has more red undertones to it.
The brand says that the foundation is oil free which means its great for the ones who are sensitive and acne prone. Also they claim that his is for all skin types which I do not agree with because, it feels more on the satiny matte side so not the best pick for dry skinned women. But normal to oily skin is going to love this foundation.
So this super light, full coverage formula, tends to stay on me for a good six, seven hours after which it starts fading on me, for which I don’t complain because there hardly isn’t any foundation that can stay put in this climate that I have discovered. This foundation is best suited for normal to oily skin types and I can’t say enough about how much I love this foundation. Also if you are a bride to be and doing your own makeup definitely check this out, the natural finish and long wearing formula plus photo friendliness is going to make you love this.
